Temple Keepers are an important part of creating the immersive and welcoming environment that makes these gatherings possible. This agreement outlines the expectations and responsibilities for those serving in this volunteer role.

By serving as a Temple Keeper, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Role of a Temple Keeper

Temple Keepers are volunteers who help support the setup, atmosphere, and closing of Dark Tantra Temple events.

This role includes assisting before the event begins, participating respectfully during the experience, and helping restore the venue afterward.

Temple Keepers are not staff members, employees, or contractors. This is a volunteer role offered in exchange for a complimentary event ticket.

Arrival & Setup Responsibilities

Temple Keepers agree to:

• Arrive at the scheduled early arrival time provided for the event
• Assist with event setup tasks such as moving furniture, preparing the space, or arranging decorative elements
• Follow instructions provided by the event host or leadership team

Setup responsibilities may vary depending on the venue and event theme.

Participation During the Event

Temple Keepers are welcome to engage with the event and participate in activities.

However, Temple Keepers agree to:

• Help maintain a welcoming and respectful environment
• Represent the values of the Dark Tantra Temple community
• Remain mindful that they are part of the support team for the event

Temple Keepers are not responsible for enforcing rules or handling safety concerns. Those responsibilities belong to Temple Monitors and event leadership.

If a safety concern arises, Temple Keepers should notify a Temple Monitor or event host.

Cleanup Responsibilities

Temple Keepers agree to remain after the event to assist with restoring the space.

Cleanup responsibilities may include:

• Collecting trash
• Packing equipment
• Resetting furniture
• Removing decorations
• Returning the venue to its original condition

This step is essential for maintaining positive relationships with our venues.

Food Offering

Temple Keepers are encouraged, but not required, to bring a small food offering to share with the community.

Examples may include snacks, fruit, desserts, or simple prepared food.

Participation in this tradition is optional.

Code of Conduct

Temple Keepers agree to uphold the core principles of Dark Tantra Temple events, including:

• Respect for personal autonomy and boundaries
• Practicing enthusiastic and informed consent
• Maintaining confidentiality regarding other participants
• Contributing to a respectful and inclusive environment

Volunteer Participation

Temple Keeper spots are limited for each event.

Completing the orientation and agreement does not guarantee placement at a specific event. Volunteers must still register for events using their Temple Keeper access code, and spots are filled on a first-come basis.

Acknowledgment

By agreeing to serve as a Temple Keeper, you confirm that:

• You have completed the Temple Keeper Orientation
• You understand the responsibilities of the role
• You agree to support the event through setup, participation, and cleanup
• You will uphold the community standards of Dark Tantra Temple events

Your contribution helps create the environment that allows the temple experience to exist.
