Temple Roles
Contribute to the Temple Experience
Dark Tantra Temple events are created through community, presence, and shared responsibility.
While many guests attend simply to experience the temple, others feel called to contribute to the space in a deeper way.
Temple Roles allow members of the community to support the experience through volunteering, safety stewardship, or professional facilitation.
Each role helps maintain the integrity, safety, and immersive nature of the temple.
Before Applying
To apply for any Temple Role, you must first:
• Be a Dark Tantra Temple member
• Complete the Temple Consent & Play Party Etiquette Course
This ensures everyone working within the temple container understands the values of consent, safety, and respectful interaction that guide our events.
Once these prerequisites are complete, you may apply for one of the roles below.
Temple Keeper
Volunteer Support Team
Temple Keepers are the volunteer stewards of the space. They help bring the temple environment to life and support the flow of the event.
Temple Keepers arrive early, assist with setup, help maintain the immersive atmosphere throughout the evening, and stay afterward to help return the space to its original condition.
They are encouraged to engage with guests and participate in activities while also helping maintain the spirit and theme of the temple.
Temple Keeper Responsibilities
• Arrive early to assist with setup
• Bring a small food offering if possible
• Help create the immersive environment of the temple
• Engage with guests and activities throughout the evening
• Stay after the event to assist with cleanup
Temple Keepers receive one free ticket to the event in exchange for their support.
Temple Monitor
Safety & Consent Guardians
Temple Monitors are responsible for holding the safety container of the event.
Their role is to ensure that consent practices are respected and that the environment remains safe and supportive for all participants.
Temple Monitors remain observant throughout the evening and are available if any guest requires assistance or support.
To maintain full awareness, Temple Monitors do not engage in play during the event.
Temple Monitor Responsibilities
• Monitor the space for safety and consent
• Be available to support guests if needed
• Maintain awareness of the environment throughout the event
• Help protect the integrity of the temple container
Temple Monitors receive one free ticket to the event.
Facilitator
Professional Practitioners
Facilitators are experienced practitioners who offer guided experiences, demonstrations, or educational moments during the event.
Facilitators may come from many disciplines including:
• Tantra
• BDSM education
• Massage therapy
• Somatic embodiment practices
• Sensation play
• Breathwork
• Conscious kink education
Their role is to deepen the experience of the temple by offering intentional and informed practices that guests can explore in a safe and guided way.
Facilitator Options
Facilitators may choose one of the following:
• $75 payment for their facilitation
or
• Free ticket + 1 guest ticket
Role Training
Each role has its own orientation course to ensure everyone clearly understands the expectations and responsibilities involved.
After applying and being approved for a role, you will be given access to the appropriate training.
These courses ensure that everyone working within the temple shares a common understanding of safety, consent, and event flow.
One-Time Application
You only need to apply for a role once. You can apply to more than one role but you can only have one role
Once approved:
• You will receive a role access code
• This code allows you to unlock your free ticket when registering for events
• You will be able to sign up for future events in the same role
