Dungeon Monitor Agreement

This agreement defines the expectations, responsibilities, and standards for those serving as Dungeon Monitors (DMs) at Dark Tantra Temple events.
Dungeon Monitors are the guardians of safety, awareness, and consent within the Temple.

1. Purpose

Dungeon Monitors hold both energetic and logistical responsibility for maintaining safety, awareness, and care during play party events.
You act as a bridge between the facilitators and participants, supporting the flow of the evening while embodying the values of the Temple: consent, consciousness, and respect.

2. Expectations

As a Dungeon Monitor, you agree to:

Arrive early for briefing and orientation on event flow, safety protocols, and space setup.

Stay for as much of the event as possible. Full participation is appreciated but not required.

Follow the direction of the host when requested.

Maintain a clear, sober, and regulated state throughout the event (no drugs, alcohol, or altered states).

Model consent, communication, and emotional awareness in every interaction.

Maintain confidentiality regarding all participants and scenes.

Clean your play station after each scene and reset it for the next participant.

If you bring a guest, ensure you offer participants experiences before engaging in personal play.

Bring a respectful, inclusive, and non-judgmental attitude to all guests and team members.

3. Responsibilities

Before the Event:

~ Arrive early for safety briefing and role assignments.

~ Review event layout, safety exits, and emergency protocols.

~ Set up your personal play area if needed.

During the Event:

~ Maintain awareness of all play and energy dynamics in the space.

~ Offer guided experiences (e.g., breathwork, sensory play, rope, impact, energy work) within your skillset and boundaries.

~ Ensure all scenes are consensual and conducted safely.

~ Intervene calmly and promptly if unsafe or non-consensual activity occurs.

~ Support facilitators and Temple Keepers as needed.

~ Keep your area clean and ready for the next participant.

~ Prioritize service and participant experience before engaging in any personal play.

After the Event:

~ You are not required to stay for teardown, though your presence for debrief or closing reflection is appreciated.

~ Report any incidents, injuries, or consent concerns to the lead facilitator.

4. Boundaries

As a Dungeon Monitor, you agree to maintain clear, professional, and compassionate boundaries:

You will not initiate sexual, romantic, or flirtatious engagement with participants during your shift.

You will not touch, tie, or engage a participant without explicit verbal consent.

You understand that your role is to hold and guide, not to pursue or perform.

You will immediately report any consent violations or safety concerns.

5. Compensation

Dungeon Monitors may choose one of two compensation options per event:

Option 1 — Paid Role: Receive $75 for your time and service.
If you choose this option, any guest you bring must purchase their own ticket.

Option 2 — Free Entry + Guest: Attend for free and bring one guest at no cost.
If you choose this option, you will not receive financial compensation.

Your choice will be confirmed when you claim your event slot or complete the Dungeon Monitor form.

6. Conduct & Integrity

Dungeon Monitors represent the values of the Dark Tantra Temple. You agree to:

~ Stay sober, grounded, and emotionally available throughout the event.

~ Treat all participants and staff with respect and professionalism.

~ Uphold the container of consent and confidentiality.

~ Avoid gossip, drama, or personal conflicts within or outside the Temple.

~ Communicate clearly, calmly, and kindly. Especially under stress.

7. Grounds for Removal

The Dark Tantra Temple reserves the right to suspend or remove a Dungeon Monitor at any time for conduct misaligned with this agreement.
Grounds for removal include (but are not limited to):

No-Call / No-Show: Registering for an event and failing to attend.

Last-Minute Cancellations: Cancelling less than 48 hours before an event without valid reason.

Neglecting Responsibilities: Failing to fulfill agreed-upon duties or abandoning your post.

Breach of Confidentiality: Discussing or sharing private participant or event information.

Violation of Consent or Safety Protocols: Any unsafe, unethical, or inappropriate behavior.

Substance Use: Attending under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

Disrespectful Conduct: Disruptive, aggressive, or unprofessional behavior.

Ignoring Facilitator Direction: Refusing to follow leadership or protocol.

Behavior Misaligned with Temple Policy: Any action compromising the safety or sanctity of the Temple.

8. Acknowledgment

By reading and agreeing, you affirm that you:

Have read and understand all expectations and responsibilities.

Have completed (or will complete) the Consent & Play Party Etiquette Course.

Are an approved member of the Dark Tantra Temple.

Understand that failure to uphold this agreement may result in removal from the Dungeon Monitor role.
